OHB Digital Connect is a pioneer in cyber security for space infrastructure. We protect satellite systems against unauthorized access and ensure that data only reaches the intended recipients.
The daily lives of almost all people and companies are more or less dependent on the availability of satellites. Satellite data flows into navigation software and weather apps, but is also used to process financial transactions and regulate power grids.
OHB therefore began protecting satellite systems against digital attacks more than 15 years ago. OHB Digital Connect is continuing this work for satellite ground segments, space missions and many other projects. In doing so, we are implementing the requirements of the international ISO 27001 standard and the IT baseline protection specified by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).

OHB DC's security experts work as information security managers or technical IT security experts in our projects.
All employees have several years of experience in the field of information security or operational IT security and are either certified as IT baseline protection practitioners and/or information security officers in accordance with ISO 27001. They also have experience from specific further training courses (e.g. NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ENISA standards, Common Criteria and technical security topics).

OHB Digital Connect is a member of the "Minimum Requirements for IT Security in Space Infrastructures" working group of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
OHB Digital Connect is involved in the creation of the ESA Cyber Safety and Security Operational Center (CSOC).
OHB Digital Connect played a key role in the preparation of the technical guideline "BSI TR-03184 - Information Security for Space Systems, Part 1: Space Segments".
OHB Digital Connect supports the ESA/ESTEC Security Cyber Centre of Excellence (SCCoe) with validation activities based on complex space missions.
We are setting the standards for tomorrow. Under the premise that current satellites will be in space for up to 20 years, it is particularly important to develop systems that can be operated safely throughout their service life and adapted to new threats. We are working on the standards on which the security of the German Bundeswehr's space systems is based. In cooperation with the BSI we have secured the SAR-Lupe, SARah and Heinrich Hertz systems.
OHB DC's modular security systems permits the rapid and efficient implementation of security measures and the specific adaptation of the scope to the risk appetite of the respective project. We develop concepts for long-term projects that define the implementation of the right security measures at the right time in order to gradually complete the "security puzzle".
