Who we are
We are OHB Digital Connect, the largest subsidiary in the DIGITAL business segment of the technology and space group OHB SE. Our almost 300 employees operate worldwide and realize sophisticated projects for the commercial market and renowned institutional customers such as the European Space Agency (ESA), the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the German Federal Armed Forces.
What we do
Our name says it all: we establish the connection between the ground and space and bring satellite data into the application.
We connect end users with satellites in space. We set up ground stations and entire ground segments for our customers and ensure regulated mission operations. Thanks to our broad portfolio of antennas for satellite communication, we can supply our customers with turnkey systems for a wide range of applications in the shortest possible time.
We are specialists in precision steel construction and mechatronics for large structures. As the successor to MT Mechatronics GmbH in Mainz, we not only develop and build antennas, but also telescopes for astronomical research and infrastructure for rocket launch sites. We also use our expertise in technology transfers and realize, for example, XXL computer tomographs or proton and heavy ion portals for modern cancer therapy centers.
We are pioneers in cyber security for space infrastructure and experts in communications technology. We protect systems in space and on the ground from unauthorized access and ensure that data only reaches the people for whom it is intended.
We turn data into applications. We use our expertise in sensor technology and data processing to provide answers to complex questions and enable users to make informed decisions in the context of climate change and security policy challenges.

Our Locations
Bremen: Bremen is the headquarters of OHB Digital Connect. In the area of the technology park near the university, which is characterized by high-tech companies and research facilities, around 150 of our employees share a campus with several of our sister companies (including OHB System and OHB Digital Services) and the OHB Group headquarters. From here, we manage the majority of our projects and operate central facilities (e.g. MMCC, BEACON).
Mainz: At the headquarters of our predecessor company MT Mechatronics GmbH, we pool our expertise in the fields of precision steel and mechanical engineering, as well as automation and high-frequency technology. Here we develop turnkey antennas, ground stations, telescopes, infrastructure for rocket launch sites and other large-scale mechatronic structures. The size of the workforce at this site is around 100 employees.
Gelsdorf, Bonn and Luxembourg: At these locations, we operate satellites for our customers with specialized teams of 6 to 12 employees.
Salem: Our southernmost German site is located at
Salem. We also share this location with our sister company OHB System.
Görlitz: We operate our newest location in Lusatia, Saxony, in the immediate vicinity of the German Center for Astrophysics, which is currently under construction.
Chile: Our subsidiary OHB Chile is headquartered in Viña del Mar, Chile, with 50 employees.
