Multi-Mission Control Center

With its own Multi-Mission Control Center (MMCC), OHB Digital Connect in Bremen has a flexible infrastructure covering the activities and requirements of a wide variety of missions. The development and flight experience gained by the OHB Group from the system integration of LEO, MEO and GEO satellite solutions and their operation has been incorporated in the design of the MMCC. As a result, OHB is able to offer complete satellite missions comprising the space and ground segment, mission operations and data processing from a single source.

Flexibility through a Modular Approach

The functions of the MMCC are based on a modular approach. As a result, the MMCC offers a high degree of flexibility and scalability, as well as the possibility of carrying out several missions simultaneously. The MMCC can also access external services via various interfaces. These include ground stations, space weather information, collision avoidance services, payload control services and data processing services. In addition, the MMCC can also be connected to the test systems of satellite manufacturers. As a result of this and the interchangeability of individual interfaces and modules, high-quality mission procedures can be ensured in line with the motto "Test how it flies and fly how it's tested".

Extensive Possibilities

The possibilities of the MMCC are far-reaching. For example, the MMCC enables the implementation of a wide range of mission phases, from LEOP and IOT to routine operations. Furthermore, the MMCC is able to support external satellite operators in the event of a ground segment failure or to remotely accompany the activities of other mission centers. The modular approach and state-of-the-art backend ensure a short implementation phase at all times.
