Multi-Mission Control Center
Flexible Mission Operations as a Service from OHB
With its own Multi-Mission Control Center (MMCC), OHB Digital Connect offers a customized end-to-end service for the operation of various types of space missions.
The MMCC has a flexible infrastructure covering the activities and requirements of a wide range of missions. The breadth of the OHB Group's development and flight experience from the system integration and operation of LEO, MEO and GEO satellite solutions has been incorporated into its design. As a result, we are able to offer complete satellite missions comprising the space and ground segment, mission operations and data processing from a single source.
Flexibility through a Modular Approach
The functions of the MMCC are based on a modular approach. As a result, it offers a high degree of flexibility and scalability, as well as the possibility of carrying out several missions simultaneously. The MMCC can also access external services via various interfaces. These include ground stations, space weather information, collision avoidance services, payload control services, data processing services and more. In addition, the MMCC can also be connected to the test systems of satellite manufacturers. The modular approach and state-of-the-art backend ensure a short implementation phase at all times.
Supported mission types
The MMCC is suitable for the operation of a variety of mission types. These include, for example
- LEO, MEO and GEO missions
- Constellations and individual satellites
- Telecommunications, science, EO, reconnaissance, ...
- LEO Return Vehicles
- Spaceport
- ... and many more
Extensive Possibilities
The areas of application of the MMCC are vast. We can offer comprehensive support for a wide range of mission activities including:
- Mission preparation (simulations, training, etc.)
- LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase)
- Routine operation incl. automation
- IOT (In-Orbit Test) incl. In-Orbit Demonstration
- End-of-Life Operations
The MMCC can also be used as a Backup Control Center (BCC) to support external satellite operators in the event of a ground segment failure or to remotely accompany the activities of other control centers.
Additional support can also be provided for AIT campaigns and launch services.
Supported by one of the three leading space companies in Europe
We can look back on more than a decade of successful satellite operations, whether for individual satellites or constellations, including missions such as SAR-Lupe, H2Sat, LuxEOSys, GMS-T and others.
Our expertise also extends to the development of ground-based infrastructure such as control centers, antennas and the procurement of capacity for Ground Station Networks (GSN).
