Multi-Mission Control Center
Satellite operation as a service. Single satellites and constellations. All orbits and a wide range of mission requirements.
With our Multi-Mission Control Center (MMCC), we can offer a customizable end-to-end service for the operation of various types of space missions.
The OHB Group's many years of experience in system integration and the operation of LEO, MEO and GEO satellites have been incorporated into the design of our control room and technical equipment, making the MMCC extremely versatile and meeting the highest standards of reliability and functionality.
With the MMCC, the OHB Group can offer satellite missions from A to Z: From mission design and the realization of the space and ground segments to satellite operation and data processing.
Flexibility through a modular approach
The structure of the MMCC is based on a modular approach. This allows us to achieve a high degree of flexibility and scalability – and gives us the option of carrying out several missions simultaneously.
Through various interfaces, the MMCC can access external services. These include ground stations and space weather information as well as services for collision avoidance, payload control and data processing.
In addition, the MMCC can also be connected to the test systems of satellite manufacturers, allowing tests to be carried out under realistic conditions.
Supported Mission Types
- LEO, MEO and GEO missions
- Constellations and individual satellites
- Telecommunications, science, EO, reconnaissance, ...
- LEO Return Vehicles
- Spaceport operation
... and many more.
Mission Support over the Entire Lifecycle
With the MMCC, we can support all phases of satellite missions from the initial design to end-of-life operations. The possible applications include:
- Mission preparation (simulations, training, etc.)
- Safe testing (EM)
- LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase)
- IOT (In-Orbit Testing) incl. in-orbit demonstrations
- Routine operation incl. automation
- End-of-life operations
In addition, the MMCC can also be used by external satellite operators as a backup system in the event of a disruption to their own ground segment and is suitable for remotely monitoring the activities of other control centers.
Additional support can also be provided for AIT campaigns and launch services.
OHB: 1 of the 3 Leading Space Companies in Europe
As part of the OHB Group, we have access to the expertise of more than 3,000 space experts.
Satellite operation is one of our core competencies. We have been successfully operating individual satellites and constellations – including SAR-Lupe, Heinrich Hertz, LuxEOSys and others – for more than a decade.
These activities are perfectly complemented by our expertise in the development and realization of antennas and other ground infrastructure for satellite systems.
