MT Mechatronics GmbH was integrated into OHB Digital Connect GmbH
The Mainz-based antenna and telescope specialist MT Mechatronics has been part of OHB Digital Connect GmbH, headquartered in Bremen, since September 1, 2020. As a subsidiary of Augsburg-based MT Aerospace AG, MT Mechatronics was already 70% owned by the space group OHB SE. The merger of several OHB SE subsidiaries active in the ground segment to form OHB Digital Connect GmbH underlines the strategic focus as a provider of system solutions.
The former MT Mechatronics in Mainz continues to exist as OHB Digital Connect's second-largest location and is expanding its area of expertise, particularly in the fields of satellite communications and ground systems, as a result of the merger. The specialist areas for the development and global construction of astronomical telescopes, launch systems for space travel and smart mechatronics for industrial applications continue to form an integral part of the product portfolio.
