Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure
Whether telecommunications, energy supply or logistics - dhe everyday life of our modern society is based more and more on digital technologies. Cyber attacks therefore pose a threat with far-reaching consequences. We protect satellite systems and other critical infrastructure from unauthorized access and ensure that the data of our customers only reaches the group of people for whom it is intended.
The increasing digitalization in all areas of life and new threat situations require a rethink in the development of cyber security strategies. We use our many years of experience in the field of cyber security for satellite systems, to protect our customers' digital infrastructure against attacks.
We rely on both traditional security measures and the implementation of efficient processes for dealing with cyberattacks. In our solutions, we implement the requirements of the international standard ISO 27001the European NIS 2 Directive and the IT baseline protection defined by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).

Our experts have many years of experience in the field of information security and operational IT security and are either certified as IT baseline protection practitioners and/or information security officers in accordance with ISO 27001. They also have experience from specific further training courses (e.g. NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ENISA standards, Common Criteria and technical security topics).

OHB Digital Connect is a member of the "Minimum Requirements for IT Security in Space Infrastructures" working group of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
OHB Digital Connect is involved in the creation of the ESA Cyber Safety and Security Operational Center (CSOC).
OHB Digital Connect played a key role in the preparation of the technical guideline "BSI TR-03184 - Information Security for Space Systems, Part 1: Space Segments".
OHB Digital Connect supports the ESA/ESTEC Security Cyber Center of Excellence (SCCoe) with validation activities based on complex space missions.
EU Space ISAC
We set the standards for tomorrow today. Due to the current geopolitical situation the European Union is taking measures to protect its space assets, deter hostile activities in space and strengthen its strategic position and autonomy.
Against this background with the EU Space Information Sharing Center (ISAC) a European platform for exchange of information and to raise awareness of cyber threats. OHB Digital Connect is a founding member of this project and is thus helping to protecting current and future space infrastructure from cyber attacks.
Safeguarding of Bundeswehr satellites
Together with the BSI, we have developed the standards according to which the Bundeswehr's space infrastructure is secured – including the SAR-Lupe, SARah and Heinrich Hertz satellite systems. Our modular security concepts not only protect the satellites themselves, but above all the ground infrastructure and the communication links between the satellites and the users.
