Satellite Operations

We keep an eye on your satellites. 24/7. Single satellite or satellite constellation - our experienced team ensures the success of your mission.

We are experts in the operation of satellite missions. In close cooperation with our colleagues focusing on satellite ground segments and antennas, or with external partners complementing our expertise, we ensure the success of the missions entrusted to us from the very beginning.

We are in constant contact with our customers while the satellites are being built in order to develop operating concepts that are precisely tailored to the requirements of the respective mission. In doing so, we rely on a high degree of automation and redundancy to ensure efficient and resilient satellite operation and to reduce the number of personnel required for routine operations.

Our satellite operators have many years of experience in supporting all phases of the life cycle of satellites - from the LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) to routine operations and deorbiting. Through continuous improvement cycles we ensure that satellite operations always meet the latest standards throughout the entire duration of the mission and that our processes are as efficient as possible.

With the Multi-Mission Control Center (MMCC), we have our own ultra-modern control center, from which we provide various services in connection with the operation of satellites up to and including permanent mission control.

Our Services

  • Definition of mission and operational requirements
  • Development of operating concepts and design of control rooms
  • Operation of all components required for mission control
  • Preparation and implementation of LEOPs
  • Routine operation and ongoing monitoring
  • Long-term analysis and on-board maintenance
  • Collision avoidance and active damage minimization
  • Implementation of deorbiting-maneuvers
  • Provision of emergency support
  • Conception of backup control centers and redundancy strategies
  • Training programs
